first class after break


Today in class we read pages from the textbook from the roman republic while two of the kids that were absent when we took the test took the test today. After that we looked over the test and we also did test correction, I got an 88 on my test which I think is really good for me because when I was going into the test I was a well prepared as I would have liked to be but it is fine because I got one of the highest grades in the class and I am proud of my grade. After the finished reviewing the class Mr. Schick told the people that got below 70 on their test that they could retake the test and if they get a better score lower then 70 then he will change it and if they get above 70 then he will get a 70 but if they got below a 70 then they will not change the score.

Today in class we went over two power point on the medieval times. We look at who the rulers were and what they did for their kingdom and weather the improved the life of the kingdom or if they made life worse. Here are some of the notes that I took on the power point.  -        Clovis rules the Franks in Gaul until his death in 511 -        Most of the rest of Europe consists of smaller kingdoms (seven in England alone) -        Clovis' descendants include Charles Martel, known as Charles the Hammer (great name!) -        Hammer defeats a Muslim raiding party from Spain at the  Battle of Tours in 732   -        (If he hadn't won, western Europe could have become part of the Muslim Empire -         that's huge!)

test day

Today in class we took a test, and we also are about to do some questions in the textbook. It think that the test was pretty easy and that I did good but I am still nervous of what I got, I feel like I did good but I don’t know if I really did good so we have to find out when we get the test back, I don’t know maybe he will grade the test today in this class and we will find out today. I am excited because tomorrow is a half day s that is nice and we get out at 12:45.
