Alexander the Great

Today in class we read four pages from the textbook and took notes on them as well. We read about Alexander the grate and what he did for the Macedonian empire. Once his father, Philip died he became king at only 20 years old and he also used his previous military training as an advantage. He expanded his empire from Greece to Indian. His empire was unchallenged until he died. When he died many of the Macedonian kings fought in order to gain control of his massive empire. He is still very influential in today’s time and he is still known as one of the greatest leaders in history. Here is a picture of Alexander the Great

Today in class we went over two power point on the medieval times. We look at who the rulers were and what they did for their kingdom and weather the improved the life of the kingdom or if they made life worse. Here are some of the notes that I took on the power point.  -        Clovis rules the Franks in Gaul until his death in 511 -        Most of the rest of Europe consists of smaller kingdoms (seven in England alone) -        Clovis' descendants include Charles Martel, known as Charles the Hammer (great name!) -        Hammer defeats a Muslim raiding party from Spain at the  Battle of Tours in 732   -        (If he hadn't won, western Europe could have become part of the Muslim Empire -         that's huge!)

test day

Today in class we took a test, and we also are about to do some questions in the textbook. It think that the test was pretty easy and that I did good but I am still nervous of what I got, I feel like I did good but I don’t know if I really did good so we have to find out when we get the test back, I don’t know maybe he will grade the test today in this class and we will find out today. I am excited because tomorrow is a half day s that is nice and we get out at 12:45.
