Class we continued to talk about Julius Caesar. We talked about how in 44 BC he named himself dictator first for six months, then for life. While he was dictator he granted citizenship to the people in provinces. He expanded the Senate, adding his friends. He also created jobs for the poor, especially through public works projects. Julius Caesar in greased paper soldiers and also started colonies where those without land could own property. Julius Caesar was killed by the Senate, staffed 23 times. The Senate called Julius Caesar to come to their office to discuss political topics, as he walked in men from the Senate jumped at him with daggers starting him 23 times.
