Today in class we went over six slides of the ancient room PowerPoint. We learned about the ancient Romans government. We also talked about how the Romans government and the United States of America’s government are very similar in the way they’re set up. Mr. Scheck told us that when the United States was setting up their 1st Government they basted off of the ancient Romans government. It is really cool how similar the ancient Romans government is to the United States government in modern times. It is also cool how the room and set up a government that has lasted he ages. I think that this unit will be very interesting. I am excited to keep learning about the ancient Romans and how they live their life in a day-to-day basis. I am excited to continue through unit and learn about the Romans.

Today in class we went over two power point on the medieval times. We look at who the rulers were and what they did for their kingdom and weather the improved the life of the kingdom or if they made life worse. Here are some of the notes that I took on the power point.  -        Clovis rules the Franks in Gaul until his death in 511 -        Most of the rest of Europe consists of smaller kingdoms (seven in England alone) -        Clovis' descendants include Charles Martel, known as Charles the Hammer (great name!) -        Hammer defeats a Muslim raiding party from Spain at the  Battle of Tours in 732   -        (If he hadn't won, western Europe could have become part of the Muslim Empire -         that's huge!)

test day

Today in class we took a test, and we also are about to do some questions in the textbook. It think that the test was pretty easy and that I did good but I am still nervous of what I got, I feel like I did good but I don’t know if I really did good so we have to find out when we get the test back, I don’t know maybe he will grade the test today in this class and we will find out today. I am excited because tomorrow is a half day s that is nice and we get out at 12:45.
