medieval times

Today in class we took notes on medieval time and we also answer questions about the topic as well. It is pretty sad because the romans did so much to progress civilizations but when we moved into medieval time the society degreased so much.

Here are the answers from the questions that we did today…
1.    Clergy- bishops and priest 
Sacrament- important religious ceremonies
Canon law- church laws 
Holy roman empire- the roman empire of the Germanic nations
Lay investiture- a ceremony in which king and nobles appointed church officials
2.    Mater such as marriage and religious practices 
3.    Otto the great allied with the church

4.    Because the popes believed that the kings should not have that much power

Today in class we went over two power point on the medieval times. We look at who the rulers were and what they did for their kingdom and weather the improved the life of the kingdom or if they made life worse. Here are some of the notes that I took on the power point.  -        Clovis rules the Franks in Gaul until his death in 511 -        Most of the rest of Europe consists of smaller kingdoms (seven in England alone) -        Clovis' descendants include Charles Martel, known as Charles the Hammer (great name!) -        Hammer defeats a Muslim raiding party from Spain at the  Battle of Tours in 732   -        (If he hadn't won, western Europe could have become part of the Muslim Empire -         that's huge!)

test day

Today in class we took a test, and we also are about to do some questions in the textbook. It think that the test was pretty easy and that I did good but I am still nervous of what I got, I feel like I did good but I don’t know if I really did good so we have to find out when we get the test back, I don’t know maybe he will grade the test today in this class and we will find out today. I am excited because tomorrow is a half day s that is nice and we get out at 12:45.
